Dalton is from Rockwall, Texas, and graduated from Dallas Christian in 2013. He attended Eastfield Junior College and played baseball for two years before transferring to The University of Texas at Tyler and finishing his collegiate baseball career in 2017. Dalton received his bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from UT Tyler and he joined the coaching staff for UT Tyler in 2018 where the Patriots went on to win the 2018 NCAA DIII National Championship. He coached with UT Tyler baseball for four years and has his master’s degree in sports administration from Arkansas State University. Dalton coached baseball in the summers of 2018 & 2019 in the Alaska baseball league which is a top prospect collegiate baseball league. Dalton is the associate head coach and coaches hitting and infield for Brook Hill baseball. In his three years with the baseball program the team has won 2 district titles, (2022 & 2024) has been a State Runner-Up (2022), and a State Champion. (2024). He is married to Haley Smith and has two daughters, Hadley and Adaline.
