New York City
The 2015 SPARC Great American Cities Tour took our group of 40 to New York City. The week was packed with exciting activities including visits to Central Park, Times Square, Rockefeller Center, St. Patrick’s Cathedral, the 9/11 Memorial Museum, the Statue of Liberty, the Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum featuring the USS Enterprise (the first space shuttle) and a real submarine, the United Nations Building, Grand Central Station, Belvedere Castle in Central Park, the Museum of Natural History, and THREE world-class Broadway musicals after which we met the stars of the shows at the stage door.
Students mastered the New York subway system and were treated to some outstanding shopping and fun dining experiences including Planet Hollywood in Times Square.
Our trip in a word … “Extraordinary!”
