Sixth graders are busy learning how to take different measurements in science class. This week they have been working on finding the volume of irregular objects through displacement. Students measured 50 ml in a graduated cylinder and then dropped different objects in the cylinder to discover how much the water rose. Students also measured different sized boxes to calculate the volume of regular shaped objects. Science is speaking volumes this week at the Brook Hill School!
