KINDERGARTEN CLASSES SERVE TYLER SPCA

Our Kindergarten classes put their reading skills to good use this past week as they served the Tyler SPCA through spending time with their foster dogs!

One of our core values as a school is service. We want to foster a love for community and creation through serving others and our Kindergarten classes had the opportunity to do that this past week by collecting food and other pet supplies for the SPCA. Students had the chance to visit and deliver their supplies which gave them a close up look at how service affects those around us tangibly.

Our classes also had the opportunity to meet the rescue workers and tour the facilities before sitting down for some quality reading time with the puppies present. This service project was such a sweet way to model care and consideration for animals in addition to equipping our students with the skills to meet our communities’ needs through donation!

Animals, especially those in shelters, often need more than just food and shelter — they crave human connection and a sense of safety. Teaching children to care for animals instills values of respect and kindness that they will carry throughout their lives. Watching the students read to the puppies shows just how naturally animals and children form bonds, reinforcing the importance of treating all creatures with care and dignity.

Ensuring that animals receive proper care goes beyond providing them with food and attention — it also includes looking after their health. That’s where services like Pawssum Mobile Vet Adelaide come in. For pet owners, having a trusted vet visit their home ensures that their furry companions receive the care they need without the stress of traveling to a clinic.

Just as the students’ visit to the SPCA highlighted the importance of caring for animals, making sure pets have access to attentive and convenient healthcare is a meaningful way to honor that connection. Compassionate care, whether through a child’s gentle touch or a vet’s expert care, makes all the difference in an animal’s life.

We had such a fun time and are already looking forward to spreading the love again next year!
