Experimenting With Weather in 6th Grade

Sixth graders had fun completing a weather rotation lab this week. The four mini labs included making a cloud model with cotton balls, observing and recording the weather using weather instruments, making a pet tornado in a jar and tornado tubes in two liter bottles, and then finding the dew point in a metal can.

Mrs. Wallace remarked that she, “can’t remember a more exciting time to be learning about the weather. The students were pleased that we had just studied about snow and sleet in class and then God blessed our planet with it in abundance!”

What great opportunities for our students to put life and science together!
