Danny Loudermilk named Middle & Upper School Teacher of the Year

Meet Danny Loudermilk
Danny’s leadership in Computer Science, AP Computer Science A, Yearbook, and Robotics has transformed every program he’s touched. Under his guidance, our yearbook has not only improved in quality but has become a true student-led initiative. He has grown our robotics program exponentially, both in interest and in student achievement, and has fostered a deep love for coding and robotics among his students. The impact of his work can be seen in the enthusiasm of our students, many of whom are actively seeking more time in the robotics lab. Danny’s approachable demeanor, problem-solving mindset, and dedication to elevating the student experience make him an invaluable part of our faculty.
MIDDLE & UPPER SCHOOL TEACHER OF THE YEAR
We are honored to announce that the 2025 Teacher of the Year is Danny Loudermilk.
Danny’s contributions across our campus—whether it’s through Computer Science, Yearbook, Robotics, or the Foxtrot House—have stood out to many. We want to share just a few of the things your colleagues said about Danny:
“I support Danny Loudermilk. I say this as much as a dad as I do a colleague. He has challenged and encouraged my son immensely. I’ve seen the impact he’s made on students who really desire to grow in computers and technology.”
“Danny has shown himself to be a teacher who cares deeply about students. He’s embraced every assignment he’s been given—classroom teaching, SPARC, retreats—and the students love him. It’s clear he’s building strong relationships while teaching them well.”

“Mr. Loudermilk is always friendly and positive. Students like him, and he’s easy to talk with.”
“Danny hustles. He’s been diligent about getting the yearbook done and works with robotics many days after school. He’s certainly putting in the hours—and students are invested.”
“I want to highlight Danny for his continued leadership in Foxtrot House. His positivity, energetic leadership, and skillful communication help all of us stay together as a house.”
