Mrs. Bell’s and Mrs. Chesley’s PreK were visited by Bullard Family Dentistry to learn about cavity bugs as well as un-healthy and healthy foods for our teeth. Students even learned how to brush and floss their teeth! We were so blessed to have such an awesome lesson for our students, and it’s always best to learn from the experts! Dr. Lansden from Bullard Family Dentistry also came kindergarten this week.  She had a lot to talk about she told the students that they must brush for 2 minutes twice a day and even brush their tongues.  She explained why we all don’t lose our teeth at the same time and what foods were good for our teeth. Then she let the kids brush the teeth of a lion and Nemo. The kids had all kinds of questions for Dr. Lansden like how long will it take for a new tooth to grow in and what are cavities. Dr. Lansden brought each student a timer, a new toothbrush and a coloring book. She was a perfect visitor for us during February, which is dental health month.
We are so grateful for the opportunity to learn from such an experienced professional. Dr. Lansden’s visit was a great way to introduce the students to the importance of dental hygiene at an early age.
